Our owner and operator of Inner Harmony is Cheryl Kearns. Cheryl has been married for 30 years, has 2 grown children, and 4 grandchildren. Born and raised in Pike County, IL she values the natural ways of country life. She has been a hair stylist for 30 years and a certified yoga instructor since May 2006. Cheryl went to Flamingo Beauty College here in Jacksonville in 1978 & 1979. While going to beauty school she lived right here in Jacksonville and fell in love with the community. After graduating she worked her first 18 months in Pittsfield and then became a co-owner and operator of the O.K. Hair Corral in Milton, IL. Her years of experience have shaped her into a stylist that is always listening to her clients needs. Cheryls love for people and natural healing led her to pursue Hatha yoga in 2003 and became a certified teacher through yoga alliance in May 2006. She now teaches Parayoga as taught by her teacher Rod Stryker. Finding her own path of health through holistic methods the dream of Inner Harmony became reality. The passion and dedication she has to help people is her focus of leading you to your pathway of transformation. My name is Lacey (Kearns) Matthews. I am 27 years old and I am a licensed Massage Therapist in Illinois. I am married to my wonderful husband Jelani and we have 3 beautiful children, our oldest son is 7 years old, our little girl is 4 years old and our youngest son is 1 year old.
I went to Pensacola School of Massage Therapy and Body Work in Pensacola Florida. I graduated in 2004. After I graduated and received my license I started working for a chiropractor, while also shadowing another LMT who had been licensed for many years. I really wanted to learn and expand on all aspects of massage therapy. I gained alot of experience and knowledge and found my true passion.
I moved back to Illinois (and the area I grew up in) from Florida in January 2008. I am now working here at Inner Harmony llc and although I do alot of relaxation massages (Swedish, Pregnancy, Infants, Hot Stone etc.) and spa treatments (sugar scrubs, body wraps, paraffin treatments etc.) I do specialize in deep tissue massages, sports and accident/injury care massages with hot and cold therapy. My goal is to improve your quality of life whether that be to relax or to help relieve pain. I hope I will get the pleasure of meeting all of you here at Inner Harmony.

Jan Summers - Alternative Healer

Jan has been with Inner Harmony since its birth in 2006. She is very intuitive with working with healing energy. She offers Reiki sessions that are a channeling of energy for your healing needs. Another form of healing is the Detox Foot Bath that extracts toxins from the body through your feet and energizes your blood cells. She also offers Ariculotherapy to relieve your body pain, allergies, anxiety and is great for weightloss and to help quite smoking plus much more. Jan has also been a Reiki Master for 8 years and an Auriculotherapist for 5 years.
Jan's newest venture in the healing field is Matrix Energetics. She has studied in Georgia under Dr. Richard Bartlett and is planning on extended training in Chicago. Matrix Energetics is a very powerful form of trasformational energy that can change your life.

After graduating from Lewis & Clark Community College with an associate’s in science, she attended the University of Spa & Cosmetology Arts in Springfield, IL in 2003. Jennifer specializes in skin care, waxing, body treatments, eyelash & eyebrow tinting, teen/acne facials, men’s facials, anti-aging facials, glycolic peels, microdermabrasion and many more. Allison came to Inner Harmony in February 2009 working part-time until September 2009 when she started working full-time as our Business Manager.
While working she enrolled in the University of Spa and Cosmetology Arts as a Nail Technician. She learned manicures, pedicures, artificail nail enhancements, and other nail services. Allison graduated in April 2010 and is now our full time nail technician.
Allison is now offering Artificial nails for the first time at Inner Harmony. She also specializes in nail art. Our clients have raved about her artistic ability. Her services include but are not limited to basic mani's, pedi's, Acrylic and Gel Sculpted Nail enhancements and nail art. She is also offering 2 brand new service, the first is a private pedicure in our upstairs harmony room in our spa area. The second is our new CND Shellac Polish, the first hybrid nail polish of it's kind, fulling set and dry within 2 minutes with no more dents, scuffs, and chips to worry about. We are so excited to have Allison as part of our Inner Harmony team and all of the new services she is bringing to the business.

Megan began her "Inner Harmony" experience by becoming one of Cheryl Kearns' devoted clients. She enjoyed Inner Harmony so much that as soon as she made her decision to attend Cosmetology school she knew that this was where she wanted to work.
Megan gradutedfrom North Greene High School in 2007. She then attended Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. After a semester at SIUE, she transerred to Lewis & Clarke Community College. Megan then attended the University of Spa and Cosmetology Arts in Springfield where she graduated in February 2010 as a licensed Cosmetologist. After graduation, Megan came to join the staff here at Inner Harmony in March 2010. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Chance. Megan also works at Kottage Kafe as a waitress.
Megan's services range from men's, women's, & childrens haircuts: facial waxing: basic and spa mani and pedi. She specializes in color highlight and lowlight services...her favorite service to offer! Mandi Cunningham is one of our newer stylist at Inner Harmony. Mandi graduated from North Green High School in 2007 and then attended Blackburn College for 2 semesters. After a year at Blackburn, mandi moved on to attend the University of Spa and Cosmetology Arts in Springfield, IL where she graduted in January 2010.
Her first job as a licensed Stylist was at Smart Style for 5 months. Mandi started at Inner Harmony in July 2010 to have more of a variety of services. Mandi enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her nephews. She also likes shopping, working out, and just relaxing with her boyfriend of 6 years , Anthony.
Mandi offers a wide variety of services including: men's, women's, & childrens haircuts: mani's & pedi's: & facial waxing. She specializes in all over color, highlights, & lowlights. Dosia is the newest sytlist to Inner Harmony. Dosia is from Northern Illinois and ,just recently, she and her family moved to Jacksonville. Dosia is the 5th child out of six in a deaf family and is deaf herself and very proud!
Dosia graduated froom ISD in 1989, so back in the day, Jacksonville was her home away from home. Dosia has been a licensed Cosmotologist since 1997. She attended Hair Professional in Aurora & Von Curtis Academy in Utah. Dosia recently obtained her license from Mario Tricoci University in July 2010 to teach. She looks forward to being able to teach her passion to others. Growing up, Dosia has always had a passion to do hair and loves to see the changes in people and see the happy faces of her clients afer a new look. It melts her heart! Dosia's greatest passion is to learn new things!

Mike Nicholson
Sensei Nicholson has taught for 20 years with 35 years experience at the beginning of January 2010.
Sensei Nicholson is a Ni-Dan 2nd Degree Black Belt in Shudo Kan & San-Dan 3rd Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryn. He is a 4 time State Champion in Karate and has faught in 2 International Tournaments. Sensei Nicholson has been awarded Black Belt of the Year for 4 years, has been Nationally ranked for 6 years, & qualifies in Amateur Full Contact Kickboxing.
Karate hours are Monday & Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. All ages 5 and above are welcome to attend. If you are interested in the class feel free to come by and watch a class to see if it is for you. Sensei Nicholson will also be offering a womens self defense class the first of 2011 on Saturdays. more info to come soon on these classes!!!

Hi! My name is Autumn Moses. I'm a reading teacher at Triopia Grade School. I've been very happily married to my husband, Greg, since 1998. We moved to Jacksonville at that time and I feel lucky to have found a wonderful community.
The first year I was married, I gained weight and realized that I had to make some changes. I cleaned up my diet, started taking fitness classes, and worked with a wonderful trainer. I even became a spinning instructor for a couple of years.
A few years ago, I entered graduate school while continuing to teach full time. My schedule no longer allowed me to attend group fitness classes. I started to fall into old bad habits, which led to gaining some weight back. I started doing a home cardio kickboxing program called Turbo Jam. Turbo Jam was perfect for me - I was having so much fun that it didn't even feel like exercise! I found out that there was a health club version called Turbo Kick. Last November, I took the plunge and attended an instructor training to become a certified Turbo Kick Instructor.
I believe that everyone has the potential to improve their fitness, regardless of age, weight, or disability. I would love to share my passion for Turbo Kick with you. Come on in and let's get the party started!
